Crescent Oak Massage Therapy/Ayla Dinney RMT
Victoria Massage Therapy
Hello. My name is Ayla Dinney and I am a registered massage therapist. I was born and raised on Vancouver Island. Growing up on the island, I have a great appreciation for nature and natural ways of healing. I enjoy helping my patients work towards their health goals by providing them with education and massage. I believe that by being well educated on how the body moves and functions, we can help ourselves heal and prevent further harm. I am a graduate of the West Coast College of Massage Therapy (WCCMT) Victoria 3000 hour program and am registered with the College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia. My experience treating includes variety of conditions such as; acute and chronic pain, stress, prenatal complaints, infant muscle tension, hip and low back discomfort, headaches, migraines, frozen shoulder, asthma, scar therapy, plantar fasciitis, over-use injuries, back pain, neck pain, TMJ discomfort and carpal tunnel syndrome. I have a special interest in infants, pediatric and prenatal care. I have taken courses to help treat TMJ disorder/discomfort taught by Scott Larke, RMT. As well, I have taken Paula Jaspar’s Massage Therapy in the Childbearing Year – Part 1: Pregnancy. Massage Therapy in the Childbearing Year – Part 2: Labour, Birth and Postpartum. Massage Therapy in the Childbearing Year – Part 4: Infant Massage. These courses have all helped me in providing me with a more in-depth knowledge and treatment skill set that I can use for many of my patients, with treatment or by helping further educate them as well.
